Celeste, the youngest of the four sisters, possessed a certain effervescent spirit that often caught people off guard. While her sisters navigated their nascent feelings for Jason with a delicate dance of shyness, ambition, and frosty reserve, Celeste approached the situation with the unadulterated enthusiasm of a child discovering a new toy. And Jason, to her, was a delightful, brand-new toy.
It was a Saturday morning, the kind that promised lazy hours and the scent of freshly brewed coffee wafting from the kitchen. Jason had been trying to tackle a particularly stubborn knot in his shoelace, a task made more difficult by the fact that he was sitting on the floor of the living room, a place usually reserved for the sisters' more formal interactions. Seraphina was engrossed in a weighty tome, Aurora was meticulously organizing her collection of vintage scarves, and Luna was sketching by the window, her brow furrowed in concentration.
Celeste, however, was bored. The quiet hum of her sisters’ activities did nothing to quell her restless energy. Her gaze, bright and curious, landed on Jason, who was now wrestling with his shoelace with a frustrated sigh. A mischievous glint sparked in her eyes. This was her chance.
