Luna's Quiet Confession
Shy Luna finds a way to express her feelings, perhaps through a heartfelt drawing or a whispered confession when she thinks no one else is around. Jason is touched by her sincerity.
The scent of charcoal and faint lavender always clung to Luna’s room, a soft, comforting aroma that Jason had come to associate with quiet afternoons and the gentle rustle of sketchbook pages. He’d knocked tentatively, a little unsure of himself, but the soft, “Come in, Jason,” that drifted from within had been enough to draw him inside. Now he stood just inside the doorway, a hesitant smile playing on his lips as he took in the scene.
Luna was perched on the edge of her bed, a large sketchbook open on her lap, her brow furrowed in concentration. Sunlight streamed through the window, illuminating the dust motes dancing in the air and catching the soft highlights in her hair. She looked utterly absorbed, her world shrunk down to the graphite tip of her pencil and the blank canvas before her.
“Hey,” Jason said softly, not wanting to startle her. “I hope I’m not interrupting anything important.”
