Under Elder Lyra's tutelage, Lillie begins her training. She learns about her powers, the history of her family, and the responsibilities that come with being the royal omega.
The air in the training chamber of the Blue Moon Pack felt different. It wasn’t the damp, earthy smell of the Black Pine forest, nor the sterile, almost fearful scent that clung to Lillie’s own fur. Here, it was a blend of ancient stone, the faint tang of ozone from a recently extinguished training spell, and something else… something that hummed with latent power. Elder Lyra, her silver hair braided with moonstones that caught the light, gestured for Lillie to step forward.
"The Moon Goddess," Lyra began, her voice like the rustle of dry leaves, "sees all. She sees the strength within a dewdrop and the power within a seed. She also sees the potential within you, child, a potential that has been deliberately suppressed for too long."
Lillie shifted her weight, her gaze fixed on the intricate patterns carved into the stone floor. She still felt like an intruder, a stray dog caught in a royal kennel. Alpha Luca had been kind, impossibly so, his presence a constant, reassuring warmth, but the weight of his pack’s expectation, and the sheer mystery of her own existence, pressed down on her.
