Chapter 15
A Challenge Issued
Kael, driven by desperation and fear, leads the Black Pine Pack to the Blue Moon territory, issuing a direct challenge to Alpha Luca and demanding Lillie's return.
The air around the Blue Moon Pack's territory had been thick with an unusual tension for days, a subtle shift that even the youngest pups had begun to notice. He found her in the training grounds, her small frame surprisingly agile as she dodged a clumsy but well-meaning block from a younger pack member. Her scent, usually a delicate wildflower tinged with an undercurrent of something impossibly ancient and royal, was now laced with a nervous tremor. Her eyes, the color of a stormy sea, were wide, and a faint flush colored her cheeks. She was still so young, so vulnerable, and the thought of Kael’s cruel gaze falling upon her sent a surge of protective fury through Luca.
