Lillie, clad in borrowed, roughspun tunic and breeches, stumbled through a series of defensive stances. Her muscles screamed in protest, each movement a stark reminder of the years of neglect and forced servitude. Beside her, the ever-patient Elder Lyra offered quiet corrections, her voice a soothing balm against the harshness of the physical demands.

“Relax your shoulders, child,” Lyra murmured, her fingers gently guiding Lillie’s tense frame. “The power flows from your core, not from rigid tension. Imagine roots growing from your feet, anchoring you to the earth.”

Lillie tried, focusing on the sensation of the packed dirt beneath her worn boots. It was a world away from the damp, cold floors of the Black Pine Packhouse, a world where her efforts were met with scorn, not instruction. Here, in the Blue Moon territory, she was surrounded by a stark but undeniable sense of purpose. The Alphas and Betas trained with a ferocity that was both intimidating and inspiring. Even the younger wolves sparred with a discipline she’d never witnessed.
