Curiosity and Caution
The creatures, humans, spot Pinky. They noticed pinky is crying while holding her teddy bear
The world spun, a dizzying swirl of white and blue, for Pinky. One moment, her beloved Teddy was nestled safely in her paws, the next, he was tumbling down a gentle slope, his button eyes glinting like tiny stars in the bright sunlight. "Oh no!" Pinky squeaked, her little heart giving a frantic thump against her ribs. Teddy! Her very best friend, the one with the slightly lopsided ear and the comforting, familiar smell. She couldn't let him go.
Without a second thought, Pinky scrambled after him. The snow, usually so soft and yielding, crunched beneath her paws as she slid and skidded, her pink bow bouncing merrily against her fluffy white fur. Teddy rolled and bounced, a fuzzy blur against the dazzling white landscape, seeming to beckon her onward. Down, down, down he went, and Pinky, her focus narrowed to that single, precious toy, followed without hesitation. She’d never been this far from their cozy den before. The familiar scent of her mother, the comforting warmth of their home, seemed to fade with every excited step.
Suddenly, Teddy came to a rest near a cluster of jagged, grey rocks, half-buried in a drift of snow. Pinky pounced, scooping him up in a joyful embrace. "Oh, Teddy!
