With a mighty pop, the giant rainbow bubble bursts, revealing a shimmering path. Barnaby, toy in mouth and heart full, rushes home. Lily's joy at his return is immense, but Barnaby keeps his sweet, bubbly adventure a treasured secret.

The world wobbled for a moment, then solidified. Barnaby, his favorite squeaky toy clutched triumphantly in his mouth, stood panting, the Gummy Bear beside him. The air still thrummed with the residual fizz of the enormous rainbow bubble that had just burst, its iridescent fragments shimmering like a thousand tiny rainbows before dissolving into the sugary air. The path, a swirling vortex of pearly light, beckoned. It smelled faintly of Lily’s shampoo and warm earth, a scent so familiar it made Barnaby’s tail thud against the Gummy Bear’s leg.

"Well, don't just stand there, dog," the Gummy Bear grumbled, though his voice lacked its usual sharp edge. "That's your way home. Don't want to miss your human, do you?"

Barnaby nudged the Gummy Bear’s sticky paw with his nose, a silent thank you. He’d been so scared, so lost, and this grumpy, squishy creature had, in his own peculiar way, helped him through. He gave a little whine, a question in his throat. Would he ever see this strange, sweet place again?
