Leo, usually so quiet he could blend into the walls, found himself surprisingly nimble as he helped Giggles right the toppled joke books. The little character, all swirling colours and bright eyes, was surprisingly strong, and Leo, with his small hands, was perfect for tucking the spines back into place. They worked in a comfortable silence, punctuated only by the soft thud of books settling onto the shelves and the occasional, almost imperceptible, hum of magic that seemed to emanate from the very air of the Laugh-a-Lot Library. Leo felt a warmth spread through him, a feeling far removed from the usual flutter of shyness that accompanied him. This was different. This was… collaboration.

Giggles, meanwhile, was a whirlwind of apology and self-directed scolding. "Oh, my wiggly-woos! I'm so sorry, shelf-friend! My feet just have minds of their own sometimes, you know? They get so excited about a good punchline they just have to dance!" They gestured wildly with a floppy, multi-hued arm, nearly dislodging another book. Leo, instead of feeling a fresh wave of anxiety, found himself suppressing a tiny smile. Giggles was… endearing, in their chaotic way.

As the last book was nudged back into its rightful place, Giggles let out a sigh of relief, a sound like a gentle breeze rustling through leaves. They turned to Leo, their bright eyes sparkling with genuine gratitude. "You were amazing, Leo! Truly, truly amazing! You didn't even flinch when I went all wombat-on-the-dancefloor. Most people would have… well, you know. Fainted or something."
