Chapter 15
A Family's Strength
Fang and Luna's bond deepens as they raise their cubs. Their shared purpose – protecting their family and their secret haven – solidifies their position as the ultimate guardians.
The scent of pine and damp earth was a lullaby, a constant, comforting hum that wove through the days. Fang stretched, a ripple of muscle under tawny fur, his great sabers catching the dappled sunlight filtering through the ancient canopy. Beside him, Luna groomed a squirming cub, her rough tongue a gentle rasp against its downy coat. The valley, their sanctuary, breathed around them, a vibrant tapestry of life that defied the gnawing chill of the world beyond.

Fang nudged another cub with his nose, the little creature batting at his whiskers with surprising ferocity. A low rumble vibrated in his chest, a sound of pure contentment. This was what he had roamed for, what he had fought for. Not just survival, but continuation. The primal urge that had driven him across frozen plains and through barren forests had found its ultimate expression here, in the soft warmth of Luna’s presence and the miniature lives that tumbled at their paws.
