Chapter 12
Lessons in the Wild
Fang and Luna patiently teach their cubs the ways of survival – hunting, navigating, and the importance of their hidden sanctuary. Each lesson reinforces their bond and their role as guardians.
The sun, a distant, hazy orb in the perpetually cool sky, cast long, ethereal shadows across the emerald expanse of the hidden valley. Fang, his massive form a study in coiled power, watched his three cubs tumble and wrestle near the den’s entrance. “They are growing, my love,” Luna murmured, her amber eyes fixed on the energetic trio. “So quickly.”
Fang nudged her flank with his broad head, a silent acknowledgment. He, too, felt the relentless march of time, each passing season a precious gift in this isolated Eden. The cubs, their sabers still soft nubs, were the embodiment of hope, the fragile promise of a future for their kind. But hope, he knew, had to be tempered with strength, and strength was forged in the crucible of knowledge.
