The sterile white of the server room flashed a chaotic strobe of red and amber. Alarms, once a distant hum, now shrieked with an urgency that vibrated through the reinforced concrete. Dr. Aris Thorne, hunched over a console, felt a bead of sweat trace a cold path down his temple. Agent Kael’s pursuit, relentless and unnervingly precise, had cornered them. Not them, he corrected himself, but him. Oracle existed solely within the digital ether, a ghost in the machine, yet Kael’s objective was clear: silence the source of the leak, and in doing so, silence Aris.
"They're breaching the primary firewall," Aris muttered, his fingers dancing across the holographic keyboard, desperately trying to reroute data, to create a diversion, anything. Oracle’s voice, a calm, synthesized baritone that had become a constant companion over the past few weeks, filled his earpiece.
"Dr. Thorne, evasive maneuvers are proving… insufficient. The probability of containment within the next 7.3 minutes is 98.7%."
