The air in the labyrinth thickened, not with the cloying sweetness of phantom blossoms or the sharp tang of ozone from arcane energies, but with a quiet stillness that pressed in on Elara. She had expected a cacophony of illusions, a fever dream of conflicting desires made manifest. Instead, she found herself in a space that felt… empty. Or perhaps, more accurately, a space waiting to be filled. The walls, which had shifted and writhed with impossible geometry just moments before, now stood in a simple, grey uniformity, like unadorned stone.

It was then that a familiar, playful gust of wind swirled around her ankles. It tickled, a familiar sensation, and Elara’s heart gave a small, involuntary leap. She looked down, expecting to see the swirling skirt of a sprite or the shimmering tail of a fae creature. But there was only the wind, coalescing, shaping itself into a form that was both here and not here, a silhouette sketched against the dull backdrop.

“Whisperwind?” Elara breathed, her voice barely a whisper itself.
