Queen Elara entered with a quiet grace that always managed to find a sliver of peace in the storm of his paranoia. She carried no retinue, only a tray with a steaming cup of chamomile tea and a small, intricately carved wooden bird. Her presence was a gentle balm, a stark contrast to the jagged edges of his fear.
