The air still hummed with the aftermath of Pentecost, a tangible thrumming in our very bones. The fire of the Holy Spirit hadn't just settled upon us; it had ignited a wild, untamed urgency. Jerusalem, once our sanctuary, now felt like a launching pad, a place from which we were being flung into the vast, unknown expanse of the world. We were no longer just fishermen or tax collectors or the others who had left everything behind. We were apostles, charged with a mission so immense it made the churning Galilean Sea seem like a placid puddle.

"Where do we go, Peter?" Bartholomew asked, his voice a low rumble, echoing the confusion that still flickered in many of our eyes, despite the divine fire.

I looked at them, my brothers. Andrew, ever steady, his gaze fixed on some distant horizon. James and John, their faces etched with a mixture of awe and apprehension. Even Thomas, usually so grounded in doubt, seemed to be wrestling with something new, a spark of… something. And then there was the lingering shadow of Judas, a wound that still throbbed, a reminder of the deep chasm between divine love and human failing.
