The air, once thick with fear and discord, was now impossibly light. She closed her eyes, reaching out with her unique sense, the one that had always been her quiet companion. And she heard it. Not the frantic, desperate cries of a world under siege, but a gentle, resonant hum, a chorus of relief that vibrated through the very soil beneath her feet. The land was breathing.

Kael, his face streaked with grime and a grim satisfaction, approached her slowly, his hand resting on the hilt of his worn blade. “It’s over,” he stated, his voice rough but devoid of its usual cynicism. “The Weaver… it’s gone.”
