The sun, a benevolent eye in the vast blue, cast dappled patterns through the ancient oak leaves as I sat by the window, the Grimoire resting open on my lap. Its pages, aged to the colour of cream, seemed to hum with a quiet energy, a gentle pulse that resonated deep within my own being. Today, the air itself felt thick with a certain kind of anticipation, a subtle shift that Flicker, with their usual effervescent curiosity, had been the first to notice.

"A rumbling in the roots, Elara!" they had chirped, their tiny form flitting around my head like an iridescent hummingbird. "A flutter in the ferns! Someone’s heart is a tangled knot, and they’re seeking the silken thread to smooth it out!"

Raymond’s voice, like the rustle of dry leaves, echoed in my memory. *“The Grimoire is a beacon, Elara. Not all who seek its light do so with pure intentions, but many are simply lost, their spirits clouded by the dust of everyday troubles. Your task is to discern, to guide, and always, always, to nurture the seed of good.”*
