Potions for Protection

The scent of simmering lavender and rosemary filled my small study, a comforting aroma that always settled my spirit. Sunlight, dappled through the leaves of the ancient oak outside my window, danced across the worn pages of the Grimoire. It was a quiet afternoon, the kind that felt steeped in a gentle magic all its own. Flicker, perched on the spine of the Grimoire, chirped softly, his tiny wings a blur of iridescent color.

"More bubbling brews, Elara?" he trilled, his voice like the tinkling of tiny bells. "Are we weaving shields of dew and moonlight again?"

I smiled, stirring the amber liquid in a small copper cauldron. "Indeed, Flicker. Today, we turn our attention to protection. For as much as we seek to invite peace and harmony, it is also wise to fortify ourselves against the shadows that may linger."
