Amy learns an incantation to cleanse spaces of lingering negativity. Flicker playfully assists, scattering shimmering dust that absorbs old woes and welcomes fresh calm.
The air in my small study, usually so serene, felt thick with a lingering residue. It wasn't a smell, not exactly, but a heavy, almost palpable presence, like dust motes dancing in a forgotten sunbeam, only these motes carried the weight of old arguments, unspoken resentments, and the faint echoes of sorrow. It was the kind of negativity that clung to walls and settled into the very fibers of furniture, a subtle dampening of joy that I, as the Grimoire’s guardian, was tasked to dispel.
I ran a hand over the worn leather cover of the Grimoire, its familiar warmth a comforting anchor. Raymond’s gentle voice, though long gone from this world, still echoed in my mind, guiding me. "Every space holds memory, Elara," he'd said, his eyes twinkling with ancient wisdom. "And sometimes, those memories can weigh down the present. It is our duty to lighten that burden."
Flicker, ever the intuitive companion, zipped around my head, their tiny form a blur of iridescent light. "Ooh, heavy thoughts in the air!" they chirped, their voice like the tinkling of tiny bells. "Like old socks left too long in a drawer! Stinky-stinky!"
