Chapter 10
The Jungle's Embrace
Anya and Mateo face the Amazon's natural challenges: piranhas, caimans, and venomous snakes. Anya's courage is tested, but Mateo's expertise keeps them safe, deepening their bond.

Anya nodded, her eyes wide. She had faced storms at sea, battled fierce winds, but this was different. This was a living, breathing entity, a labyrinth of water and shadow that held an ancient, untamed power. The air thrummed with the buzz of unseen insects, the shrieks of unseen birds, and the occasional, chilling splash that sent a ripple of fear through her.
