Together, they explore the shimmering meadow, taste moonberries, and Sophie’s mom reassures her that magic can be real when you share it with someone you love. Sophie’s sneakers squished through dewy grass as she followed the new trail of sparkling stars. Pip scampered ahead, his pineapple leaves bobbing, while Pickles danced in and out of the shimmering light with a happy, berry-pink nose. But then Sophie slowed down—something bright was shining just ahead, and it wasn’t just stars. It was… a person! Right there, standing under the twinkling trees.
Sophie blinked and grinned. “Mom!” she called, waving her smoothie cup.
Her mom smiled, waving back, her arms open wide. “Sophie! There you are! I thought I’d find you on a trail of sparkles.” She crouched down and gave Sophie a warm hug, her eyes twinkling with a secret sort of knowing.
