Silent Hawk moved like a wraith, his arrows nocked, his sorrow a palpable shroud. The air thrummed with a tension as old as the mountains, a prelude to the storm that was about to break.

The renegades, swollen by disaffection and the allure of Chayton’s fiery rhetoric, had grown too bold. Their camps, scattered like embers across the foothills, had become a blight upon the land, a challenge to the ancient ways. Tonight, the council, bound by oaths whispered to the wind and etched into the very stones of their ancestral lands, would seek to cauterize this wound.

Swift River Woman signaled again, a subtle shift of her hand. The young warriors she had trained, their movements honed to a silent precision, fanned out, their faces grim masks of determination.
