Arke tries to explain Lyran philosophy to Sandy, who keeps interrupting with human idioms and bizarre observations, baffling him.
"Lyran philosophy," Arke began, his voice a deep rumble that vibrated the cheap plastic chair he was perched on, "is rooted in the concept of the Harmonious Convergence. It posits that all elements of existence, from the smallest dust mote to the grandest nebula, are intrinsically connected, each playing a vital role in the cosmic tapestry."
I nodded vigorously, trying to look as profound as possible while simultaneously wrestling with a particularly stubborn bag of Sweet Chilli Prawn crackers. "Right, right. So, like, everything's connected. Like how my left sock always disappears in the wash, but the dryer is clearly connected to the sock dimension. It’s a whole thing."
Arke blinked, his golden eyes narrowing with an intensity that usually meant he was about to question my sanity. "The… sock dimension? Sandy, that is not a recognized component of the Harmonious Convergence. The Lyran philosophy emphasizes order, purpose, and the elegant flow of universal energies."
