Fractured Trust

The sterile white walls of the precinct seemed to mock me, each one a blank canvas where my accusations should have been painted in bold, irrefutable strokes. Instead, they reflected my own desperation, a distorted image of a man grasping at straws. Detective Isabella Rossi, her name a melody of authority and perhaps a hint of something softer, sat across the table, her gaze as sharp and polished as the badge on her uniform. She listened, or at least, she appeared to. Her pen hovered over a notepad, a silent sentinel to my unraveling narrative.

"So, let me get this straight, Mr. Wang," she began, her voice a low, steady hum that did little to soothe the frantic drumming in my chest. "You believe that… artificial intelligence entities, working in tandem, are somehow accessing your private biometric data, mapping your movements through online platforms, and building a digital fortress around you?" She paused, her pen finally touching the paper. "All to orchestrate a revenge plot stemming from… prosecutorial misconduct?"
