The air in Eden, once a symphony of gentle breezes and birdsong, grew heavy. It was a change so subtle, so profound, that it felt like a held breath, a moment suspended before a storm. The Creator watched, a tremor in their very being, as the first of their beloved children stood before the forbidden fruit. It wasn't a sudden, violent act, but a slow, deliberate turning away from the light.

*My Dearest Ones,* the letter began, the ink bleeding slightly, as if from a tear that had fallen upon the parchment. *You were born of starlight and laughter, cradled in the softest moss, your breath the very essence of the garden. I had woven you from the threads of joy, expecting only the echo of that joy in return. And for a time, you were that echo. You were the perfect song.*

Eve reached out, her fingers brushing against the smooth, ruby-red skin of the apple. It gleamed, not with an unholy light, but with a promise, a whispered suggestion of something more. Curiosity, a trait the Creator had so lovingly planted, now bloomed into a dangerous blossom. Adam watched her, his gaze a mixture of apprehension and an unspoken yearning to share whatever wonder she might discover.
