The Great Honeycomb Hall buzzed with a different sort of energy tonight. It wasn’t the frantic hum of nectar collection, nor the purposeful drone of comb building. This was a celebratory thrum, a symphony of contented sighs and delighted chirps. Barnaby, perched precariously on a newly polished honeycomb ledge, felt a warmth spread through his fuzzy thorax that had nothing to do with the ambient temperature. He’d expected to feel… well, he wasn't entirely sure what he’d expected. Barnaby flushed, a faint rosy hue beneath his fuzz. “You have shown us that even what seems like a weakness can be a source of extraordinary strength. You faced your fears, you braved the treacherous Whispering Peaks, and you returned with the nectar that has saved us all.”
