The air in Thorne’s study crackled, not with the static of a storm, but with something far more unsettling. Silas, his face pale and etched with a confusion that bordered on fear, stood by the window, his knuckles white where he gripped the sill.
“It’s… it’s happening again, Aris,” Silas stammered, his voice strained. “But worse. Much, much worse.”
