Shine stood to the left, her starlight-spun hair shimmering even in the dim, cavernous hall, her gaze fixed forward, a steady flame against the encroaching shadows. Beside her, Shade, a creature of the deepest night, his void-essence a tangible presence, mirrored her resolve. They were no longer the fleeing lovers, the defiant children. They were a statement.
King Star Magma, his celestial crown casting an ethereal glow, sat upon his throne of solidified nebulae. His face, etched with the wisdom of countless stellar cycles, was a mask of stern disapproval. Across from him, perched on a throne carved from a shard of solidified darkness, sat Void King Abyss. His eyes, like twin black holes, seemed to absorb all light, all hope. The two kings, embodiments of the division that had fractured their world, regarded the young couple with a shared, potent disdain.
“You dare to stand before us,” King Star Magma’s voice boomed, resonating through the chamber like a dying star’s final exhalation. “You, who have defied our every decree, who have brought shame upon your peoples.”
