From the shadowed canyons where the wind whispers secrets, A tale unfolds, a sorrow etched in time. Chief Bear Hunter, his village, a tapestry of life, Now a ghost in the valley, a silent, mournful rhyme.

The Bear River Massacre, a scar upon the land, Where innocence was shattered, and hope turned to dust. His people, vibrant, their spirits fierce and grand, Met a brutal end, betrayed by misplaced trust.

The trappers' tread, a subtle, creeping tide, Had stirred unease, a ripple in the stream. But Bear Hunter, watchful, his people by his side, Dreamed of peace, not this blood-soaked, waking dream.
