The Garden's Secret

The morning sun, a warm hug after a night of hopeful dreams, found Lillypad already wide awake, her heart buzzing with the memory of Cathy's gentle purr and the promise of twenty tasks. Last night’s ritual, the drawing of the X and circle, the whispered plea to the Rainbow Friends, felt like a vivid prelude to something truly spectacular. Her first task, the one of kindness, had felt good, a small act of sharing her favorite sparkly crayon with her little brother, but this new challenge, this second task, felt different, more… earthy.
