The air in the Whispering Woods grew thicker, each breath carrying the scent of damp earth and ancient moss. Sunlight, once a dappled caress, now struggled to penetrate the dense canopy, casting long, dancing shadows that played tricks on the eyes. Elara, clutching the worn parchment map, felt a prickle of unease crawl up her spine.
