Chapter 9
Isolde's Observation
Isolde Vance, a pragmatic associate of Dante, observes Elara. Her guarded eyes hold a mixture of suspicion and curiosity. Isolde knows more about Dante's past, a secret that could impact Elara.

I was tracing the condensation with a fingertip, lost in my own disquiet, when she materialized beside me.
