Chapter 6
Echoes of the Past
They discover a hidden shrine, its carvings hinting at a prophecy connecting two souls. Saira feels a resonance, a deeper understanding dawning.
The air in the ancient grove hummed with a quiet energy, a palpable stillness that settled over Saira and Aqua like a comforting cloak. It was a shrine, not built of stone or wood in the way she understood, but seemingly grown from the earth itself. Smooth, grey rock, worn by centuries of wind and rain, curved upwards to form a shallow, open-roofed chamber. Intricate carvings adorned the inner walls, swirling patterns and stylized figures that seemed to shimmer with a faint, inner light.
