A familiar handwriting on one of the inventor's notes reveals a connection: it's Lily's Grandma! She loved games and surprises, a perfect fit.

The note, nestled amongst the faded blueprints and intricate diagrams, was a stark contrast to the meticulous, almost clinical script of the reclusive inventor. Lily’s breath hitched as her eyes traced the familiar loops and flourishes. It was Grandma Elsie’s handwriting, unmistakable and warm as a sunbeam. A small, delighted gasp escaped her lips, quickly followed by a rush of confusion. How could Grandma Elsie’s writing be here, tucked away in the workshop of a man Lily had never even heard of until a week ago?

“Tom, look!” Lily exclaimed, holding out the crumpled piece of paper. Her best friend, who had been meticulously examining a small, brass cogwheel with the intensity of a seasoned jeweler, peered over her shoulder.

Tom squinted, his brow furrowed in concentration. “That’s… that’s your Grandma’s handwriting, isn’t it, Lily? The way she writes her ‘e’s and that little flourish on her ‘L’s?”
