Chapter 10
The Old Clock Tower
The locket leads Eleanor to the town's silent clock tower. The diary mentioned it as a meeting place, a place of observation.

Not a song this time, but a feeling, a pull towards the highest, most solitary point in their small town: the old clock tower. The diary had mentioned it, too, a cryptic note about “meeting at the silent sentinel, where time stands still and secrets are revealed.” Eleanor shivered, though not from the autumn chill. The base of the clock tower was surrounded by a low, crumbling wall, overgrown with ivy tenacious enough to cling even to the cold stone. The massive wooden door, scarred and weathered, looked as if it hadn't been opened in decades. Eleanor’s fingers, small and hesitant, traced the rough grain. She remembered Clara’s diary entry: “The key is not in the lock, but in the chime.”
