Elara learns from spectral whispers and the locket's guidance that the glowing flowers are remnants of the lost stars, and her family were their ancient protectors, the Star Keepers.
Elara’s fingers traced the cool, smooth surface of the locket, its faint warmth a comforting presence against her skin. The attic dust motes danced in the single shaft of moonlight that pierced the gloom, illuminating the worn pages of the leather-bound journal she’d discovered with the map. The whispers had started subtly, like the rustle of forgotten silk, growing louder as she’d descended the creaky stairs, the locket pulsing with a soft, internal light. Now, sitting cross-legged on the attic floor, the whispers resolved into a chorus of voices, ancient and gentle, weaving through the stillness.
*“The Lumina… they bloom from the tears of the fallen sky,”* a voice like the sigh of wind through ancient trees murmured.
*“Your lineage… the Star Keepers… their duty now yours,”* another, deeper voice resonated, like the rumble of distant thunder.
