It pulsed from the very earth beneath Elara’s feet, a thrumming that seemed to awaken something ancient within her. The glowing flowers, their petals like captured moonlight, pulsed brighter, their luminescence casting ethereal shadows that danced with the lingering tendrils of the Shadowy Creature’s retreat. Elara clutched the locket, its warmth a comforting weight against her palm. It had pulsed with an almost frantic energy just moments ago, a beacon of power that had helped her push back the encroaching darkness. But now, as the immediate danger receded, a new sensation settled over her – a profound stillness, as if the garden itself was holding its breath.
Then, it began.
