He leaned forward, his eyes twinkling with a familiar, encouraging light. “We’ve spoken of the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Each of these equips us, secures us, and prepares us for the spiritual conflict. But today,” he paused, letting the anticipation build, “we turn our attention to something that is both our strongest defense and our most potent offensive weapon. We turn to the shield of faith.”
