The puppies scratched their heads, their brows furrowed in thought. Miss Lily’s question hung in the air, a delightful puzzle that had sparked a flurry of wide eyes and excited yips. They had just learned that many of today’s animals, from the chirping birds outside to the family dog, had descended from dinosaurs. It was a mind-boggling revelation that had sent ripples of wonder through their little group.
“Chickens… and dogs… and cats…” Russo murmured, trying to connect the dots. “And birds! We saw birds flying, and they’re like… mini dinosaurs?”
Baby Blue bounced on his paws, his tail giving a tentative wag. “So, if birds came from dinosaurs, then… what did we come from?” His question was a playful challenge, but beneath the playfulness was a genuine curiosity. He looked at his friends, then at the fluffy Spice the Cat who had joined their discussion, her tail twitching with interest.
