"Stay close, Marylu," Daisy’s voice, usually a calm melody, was tight with strain. Her hands, usually so gentle as they coaxed life from the earth, were now weaving a dense wall of thorny vines, a living barricade bristling with wicked barbs. Each vine pulsed with an inner strength, a testament to her unwavering connection to the natural world. She was a beacon of resilience, her green eyes, even in the grime and chaos, held a fierce resolve.
