A Glimmer of Hope

The weight of the world, or rather, the frozen, silent world, pressed down on me. Each step I took felt like wading through thick honey, and the silence was a roaring in my ears. Opeyemi, my shimmering, ever-present guide, pulsed gently beside me, a beacon in the stillness. I could feel its concern, a soft hum against my thoughts, as it sensed the despair creeping into my heart.
