Slowly, tentatively, the world begins to move again. A bird completes its flight, a leaf drifts to the ground. Colors return, sounds emerge, and the frozen moments of life reawaken, each one a miracle.

The Man of God, or what was left of him, unraveled like a forgotten tapestry. The shadowy tendrils that had choked the world loosened their grip, and with a sigh that was more a whisper of relief than anything else, Leo felt the last vestiges of the darkness dissipate. He stood, breathing deeply, the air no longer heavy with despair but fresh with the promise of a new beginning. Opeyemi, the shimmering light, pulsed softly beside him, a gentle beacon that had guided him through the most terrifying moments of his young life.

“It is done,” Opeyemi’s voice, a melody of chimes, echoed not in his ears but in his very being. “The time has been returned.”

Leo looked around. The world was still. But it was a different kind of stillness now, a peaceful pause before a grand awakening. He saw a robin, mid-flight, its wings outstretched as if painted against the sky. A single, crimson leaf, caught in a gust that had never arrived, hung suspended above a dew-kissed blade of grass. Everything was poised, ready.
