A Love Forged in Darkness
Lyra and Kael confess their feelings, realizing their love is a powerful force against the darkness. They vow to protect the realm together, embracing their shared destiny.
The air in the chamber was thick with the scent of ancient dust and something else, something potent and alive that clung to the very stones. It was a dangerous current, this thing between us, a force that threatened to consume us both.
"And where else would I be?" I countered, my voice barely a whisper. "This place… it feels like home, Kael. Like a home I never knew I had." The words tumbled out, raw and honest, a testament to the truth that had been building within me since I’d stepped through that portal. My ancestral crypt, my old life… they felt like a distant echo now, a faded memory compared to the vibrant, terrifying reality of this realm.
