Zoe's Animal Intuition
Zoe notices unusual animal behavior near a landmark, leading them to a hidden passage. Her imagination sparks an idea.
The air in the old library hung thick with the scent of aged paper and forgotten stories. Dust motes danced in the slivers of sunlight that pierced the grimy windowpanes, illuminating the worn leather of the explorer’s notebook. Mia, her brow furrowed in concentration, traced the intricate symbol on the newly revealed page. It looked like a coiled serpent, its scales shimmering with an almost iridescent quality.
“A serpent,” Sam stated, adjusting his glasses. “Possibly a ouroboros, the ancient symbol of infinity and rebirth.”
Leo, ever the tinkerer, was already fiddling with a small, clanking device. “Or maybe it’s just a really fancy doodle. I’m thinking of upgrading Pixel’s optical sensors. He keeps mistaking pigeons for small, feathery drones.”
