The decoded message reveals a hidden map within the observatory, leading to their next grand adventure and a new page in the notebook.
The air in the old observatory still hummed with the faint echo of forgotten starlight. Dust motes danced in the lone shaft of moonlight piercing the gloom, illuminating the colossal, silent telescope that dominated the room. Mia traced a finger over the tarnished brass of its base, her brow furrowed in thought. "So, the decoded message said 'Look to the eye that never blinks, where celestial tears might fall.'"
Leo, ever the tinkerer, was already fiddling with a contraption of wires and tin cans. "Maybe it's a secret compartment! Or a hidden button! I’ve rigged up a sonic emitter. If there’s anything hollow in this place, it’ll rattle its rusty guts out!" He flicked a switch. A low, warbling hum filled the observatory, followed by a series of disheartening clicks and pops. The only thing that rattled was a loose bolt on the dome, which promptly detached itself and landed with a clatter at Zoe’s feet.
Zoe, who had been carefully examining a cobweb spun with surprising architectural precision, jumped. "Whoa! Pixel, did you see that? That spider is a master builder!" Pixel, a squat, metallic robot with a single, blinking optical sensor, tilted its head. "Observation: Arachnid architecture is structurally sound. Recommendation: Avoid entanglement. My primary directive is to prevent team member incapacitation via web-based adhesion." Pixel then proceeded to shine a powerful, disorienting beam of light directly into Leo’s eyes.
