The weight of the Crown of Whispers settled onto Kael's brow, a surprisingly light burden for something that felt so ancient, so potent. It wasn't the cold metal that pressed against his skin, but a subtle hum, a vibration that seemed to resonate with the very marrow of his bones. A soft voice, no louder than a sigh, had brushed against his ear, "The harvest will be poor, Kael. The soil… it weeps." He’d blinked, startled, looking around the empty hut. Who had spoken? But there was no one. The voice had come from within him, yet outside him, a paradox that made his head spin.
