"You’ve done remarkably well, Elara," Dr. Thorne began, his voice a gentle rasp, like dry leaves skittering across pavement. "To not only discover the Weaver but to begin to grasp its essence… it’s a feat I hadn’t dared to hope for." He gestured vaguely towards the shimmering, impossibly intricate device that pulsed with soft, ethereal light on her workbench. The Chronos Weaver. It was more than just code, more than just a program; it was a living, breathing… *thing*.

Elara leaned forward, her fingers tracing the cool, smooth surface of a nearby holographic display, her mind a whirlwind of theories and anxieties. "But how? How can a program… be this? And you… you know about it?"
