Chapter 7: The Armor Parade
Ed receives his new black armor from Galen, and the villagers gather for a cheerful unveiling. Angel Solis quietly encourages Ed, while Layia receives her first self-defense lesson from him. Meanwhile, Siri, Lilly, and Sofia happily plan a village party to celebrate Ed and bring everyone together.
The sun was barely up when the clang of Galen’s hammer echoed through the village square. Everyone knew today was special—Ed’s new armor was ready! Already, a crowd began to gather beneath colorful banners. Children with sticky jam fingers peered around the anvil, eager to catch the first glimpse.
Layia bounced on her toes, clutching a rough drawing of a sun and tiger stripes. “Do you think Galen used my ideas?” she whispered to Sofia, who smiled and patted her arm.
“Galen always listens,” Sofia said softly. She glanced across the square, where her basket was now filled with wildflowers instead of apples. Lilly and Siri stood close by, giggling and whispering their own big plan to Sofia.
