Ange stood on the precipice of the sorcerer's sanctum, the air thick with the scent of petrichor and something acrid, like burnt ozone. Before her, bathed in the cold, pulsating light of the artifact, stood the Shadowy Sorcerer. His form was cloaked in darkness, yet she could feel the immense weight of his sorrow radiating from him, a palpable aura that pressed against her very soul. It was a sorrow so profound, so ancient, that it mirrored the dying ache of the land itself.

She had expected a confrontation, a clash of wills, perhaps even a desperate struggle for the Orb of Lumina. Her heart hammered against her ribs, a frantic bird trapped in a cage. Garrick’s warnings echoed in her mind – the sorcerer’s treachery, his bitterness, his unyielding grip on the artifact. Yet, as she met the sorcerer’s unseen gaze, a different instinct bloomed within her, a quiet insistence that war was not the answer.

"Sorcerer," Ange began, her voice surprisingly steady, though it trembled slightly at the edges. "I have come for the Orb."
