Chapter 6
A Glimpse of Betrayal

Here, amidst the skeletal remains of ancient knowledge, she hoped to find answers. And the ruins, strangely, seemed to whisper them.
She ran her fingers over a mosaic depicting a celestial dance, the figures once vibrant with crushed gemstones, now dulled to muted echoes. A particular constellation, a broken wing cradling a falling star, drew her gaze. It was a symbol she’d seen before, etched into a tarnished locket Elder Maeve kept tucked away, a locket she never spoke of.
