Eleanor traced the worn stitching on the brim of her cap, a familiar comfort against the cool morning air. The school grounds buzzed with the usual cacophony of laughter and hurried footsteps, but for Eleanor, it was a muted symphony, a backdrop to the quiet hum of her own thoughts.
